COVID-19 Update
Dear CMB Family,
We hope that this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our communities have been through a lot over the last few years, and all of us are looking forward to a return to normalcy. While many things have changed, one thing has remained constant; our office’s commitment to the safety of our staff, doctors, and patients.
Infection control has always been and will continue to be, a top priority in our practice. We will continue to follow guidelines set forth the PA Department of Health, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in addition to taking extra precautions customized by our doctors with guidance from the American Dental Association to keep our office safe for all.
You will notice some of these changes as soon as we resume contact, and bring patients back into the office:
- You will be asked COVID-19 pre-screening questions upon scheduling your appointment as well as when you present to the office.
- A touchless temperature will be taken.
- Patients who answer yes to pre-screening questions or have a fever over 100.4 will be asked to postpone their treatment.
- The same procedure will be used to scan our staff and doctors prior to each day in the office to assure communal safety.
We are scheduling patients and setting up the office in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between patient appointments:
- Please complete your COVID pretreatment for prior to your visit so that we can limit potential exposures to patients and staff members.
- Although mask guidance has recently changed, we still ask that while you're in the office that you wear a mask at all times unless otherwise instructed.
- We ask that you come in the office unaccompanied unless absolutely needed.
- A team member will meet you at the front door to take your temperature and complete the COVID-19 screening questionnaire, you will then be escorted directly to the treatment room.
- There will be limited seating in our waiting room. Unfortunately there will be no magazines or books, and no office water jug.
- We ask that you have patience with us as we implement our new office logistics which are designed for everyone's safety. These systems may limit the speed at which you enter or exit the office depending on patient traffic in key areas.
We have taken additional measures to improve air quality and overall safety in the office:
- Installing medical grade air filters directly into our HVAC units.
- Aerosol reducing equipment throughout the office.
- Enhanced personal protective equipment (PPE) for the Doctors and Staff.
- Sneeze Guards, and single use items at reception
Thank you for being a valued part of our dental family, as well as your patience and understanding during this unique time.
With Respect,
Drs. Brown, Alter, and the whole CMB Team
