CMB Dentistry and Dr. David Brown are excited to announce we can now offer Chao’s Pinhole Surgical Technique which is a Scalpel-Free, Suture-Free, Graft-free option for treating gum recession.  The procedure is minimally invasive.  Through a small hole made by a needle, specially designed instruments gently loosen the gum tissue and move it over the receded part of the tooth.  The gums are held in the new position by collagen support strips all without the use of scalpels, sutures, or painful grafts taken from the roof of the patients mouth.  The patients can expect minimal post-operative symptoms (pain, swelling, bleeding).

The purpose of the Pinhole Surgical Technique is to: create a widened zone of attached gum tissue adequate to reduce the likelihood of additional gum recession and to cover exposed root surfaces in order to enhance the appearance of the teeth and gum line and to prevent/treat root sensitivity or root decay.
